Professor Madrone has spent a lot of time building his credentials in the Nexus, dedicating his life to studying how the Nexus affects the behavior of Pokemon and vice versa. To that extent, his desire for eager and helpful recruits has become apparent over the last few months. If you've been wandering around the Nexus, his contact information will be in most populated places. The local Pokemon Center. The Crossroads Cafe. All around are flyers meant to enlighten people on the nature of Pokemon.

Your character is texting this number (or applying at a Pokemon center) in order to get some more information about Pokemon and what they can do to help. After all, the flyer said anyone can apply, but not all candidates are chosen. It's still worth a shot, however, thus the test sent before you is meant to evaluate those traits:

Financial Situation:

In a few short words, tell me what you would do if given a powerful object?
Are you comfortable around unique creatures?
Can you take any animals with you to your home-world?
What 3-4 Pokemon would your character like to have (this information is purely OOC. Please do not request evolved, legendary or hard to obtain Pokemon. Your request will be denied.)

Professor Madrone has been studying the data received from any and all Pokedexes that Nexus visitors have been using, thoroughly pleased by the research thus far. People and Pokemon have been bonding well, learning through experiences and monitoring the migration of wild Pokemon. However, it's only a matter of time that he has to return to his own home-world for professor duties.

Today, Madrone is in the Johto region, having just presented his recent Nexus findings to another group of professors from the region. He has to disguise parts of his research, but it's always refreshing to interact with people he knows. After parting ways with his fellow scholars, Madrone has one last thing to deal with. There's one last thing he needs to address, however...

A text message is sent out to Caspar in the mid-day with the following information:

I've been observing your data regarding Tepig and I would like to discuss it in person. Do you have some time to meet up for coffee? If not, I will not be offended.

Sincerely,

Madrone

There's a set of PINpoint coordinates to a little coffee shop, where Madrone will be waiting.

Professor Madrone is deep in the Nexus Wilds this afternoon, tending to the different Pokemon who sleep and live the dark forest. Ekans slink from the trees, while a pack of Nuzleaf guard the forest from intruders. Madrone is checking up on a Shifty, who suffered a small injury after a surprise tussle with a fire Pokemon, treating the grass Pokemon with an assortment of potions and healing supplies. Ironically, Gengar has decided to accompany him, feeling a kindred bond with other Pokemon of the night.

"You should be back to your normal strength now. Don't hesitate to send Nuzleaf to my home if you need any addition assistance."

"Shift..." The Pokemon seems grateful at the assistance, bowing politely to Madrone, before jumping up into the treetops. Gengar continues playing with the Seedot and Nuzleaf, until Madrone feels his PINpoint buzz in his pocket. Removing it, he reads Adia's frantic message about meeting with Marie, and the weight of the world can be felt on his shoulders. He's been monitoring different places since Adia went back in via to repair the past, which was corrupted by a god of chaos. Madrone never likes the idea, let alone that it meant Jeff would come back to life. Yes, it saved hundreds of other lives, but that man didn't deserve a second chance.

Gengar gives the Professor a confused look, then pokes him on the shoulder. What's up doc?

"We must go back to the lab. Adia is visiting." Gengar doesn't seem displeased by this idea, grabbing a hold of Madrone's shirt, allowing them to be PINpointed directly inside the lab. There, Madrone waits for Adia, fully prepared to break the news of his research to her...

It's been about a week since Professor Madrone spoke with one Caspar Millen about his current predicament: a serial killer who just happened to be involved in the killing of two persistant Pokemon poachers in the Nexus. Normal murder mysteries would be left to the police, but since Pokemon have been dragged into the ordeal, Professor Madrone feels his involvement is somewhat needed. He's become the local person to come to for all things Pokemon related in the Nexus, after all.
